Enjoy any one of the well-marked trails from Glendalough, taking in stunning views, encounter varied wildlife and fauna, experience the glacier-created landscapes, and discover medieval structures. The trails vary from a simple stroll though to full-day hikes. Prepare appropriately and enjoy!

Glendalough is easily accessible from Dublin, either as a day-trip or as part of a route towards the southeast. Rent a car, join an organised tour or even take public transport (St.Kevins bus).

Climbing Croagh Patrick (the holy mountain) is a favourite of mine when I’m in this neck of the woods.
If you’re lucky you can catch mass in the tiny Chapel on the summit.
There’s always a tasty pint in Campbells (at the base of the mountain) as a reward when you get back down!
